Good Strategy, Bad Strategy

Rumelt argues that a real strategy is not a vision, a mission, or a wish list but a coherent response to a challenge — a clear diagnosis, a guiding policy, and a coordinated set of actions. "Bad strategy," the far more common thing, is fluff, a failure to face the problem, or goals dressed up as plans. The book trains you to tell them apart and to build the former.
